Gum Cleaning

Gum Cleaning

Gum cleaning is a process related to cleaning bacterial plaque and maintaining oral well-being. It is of particular importance because it represents one of the main measures for the prevention of gum diseases. The main factor that influences the occurrence of these diseases is precisely the stones accumulated on the surface of the teeth, especially those that are placed below the level of the flesh (gingiva). Their presence causes irritation and inflammation of the gums, which is manifested by redness, swelling, and bleeding from the gums while brushing while chewing hard foods, and in severe cases, bleeding can even occur spontaneously. If the stones are not cleaned, the process progresses further, causing the bone that holds the tooth fixed in the mouth, gum recession, and tooth mobility. It is precisely to prevent these irreversible damages in time and to allow the gums to return to their normal state so that tartar removal is performed.
